HP pavilion tx2000 ubuntu 12.04

for 2 days i try to install ubuntu 12.04 LTS on HP pavilion tx2000
i read this notebook spec is AMD turion 64x2 so i install it using ubuntu-12.04.4-desktop-amd64 but before this step i try with ubuntu-12.04.4-desktop-i386 ;
but the result show me same condition that there are no icon appear in the desktop screen. just default "purple" home screen no icon, no button. in this condition i try the LAN connection, and it's work but wireless and sound seems cannot work properly.
the cursor can move smoothly but the right click didn't show anything
next i try to type CTRL+ALT+F1 to go to terminal, and try to update the kernel, just because the proxy setting i can't update and upgrade it.
OK 
what should i do ?
after read so many reference in google, i can't find the answer WHY my home screen still blank, without icon and no response click ? why why
is it possible that kernel ubuntu 12.04 didn't work in HP pavilion tx 2000?

aaaah i don't know
the last i try to install ubuntu-10.04.4-desktop-amd64 and the desktop display the right way but the wireless still need some configuration.
